The 27th International Press Awards ceremony took place last night. After the year 2021 marked by the rollercoaster ride of the pandemic and the bottleneck of releases that followed the long-awaited reopening of cinemas, the Académie des Lumières and its 95 voters, correspondents of the international press from 36 countries, were happy to be able to support the excellence and diversity of French cinema.

2021 was a particular year in many ways: cinemas closed for part of the year, the Cannes festival in July, unprecedented resistance from Belgian cinemas at the end of the year... However, this did not prevent 2021 from being an excellent year in quantity and quality. The Moonday team couldn't resist giving you the ten films that thrilled us the most this year.

Christmas tales, animation of all kinds, family films... The end of the year is a big time for cinema.

While Encanto brings a smile to the faces of both audiences and exhibitors, other productions have recently been released, like Princesse Dragon by Anthony Roux and Jean-Jacques Denis.
