Every year, half a thousand project developers apply for the Mifa Pitches at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The objective is to present their work to professionals looking for new ideas and to acquire potential investors. The projects selected for Mifa are divided into four categories: Digital Experiences, Feature Films, Short films and TV series and specials. Few of them are selected but the winners get visibility and many opportunities.

Discover Moonday's favorite projects for each category:

1. Digital Experiences : " Amazing Monster! " by Raphael Penasa.

"In the middle of Lake Neuchâtel, Emma, a rebellious teenager searching for her missing older brother, finds answers to the questions she has (or doesn't have) by hanging out with an angry, bitter old fisherman, Michel. "

2. Feature Films : " Pour the Water as I leave " by Daniela Repas.

Brave survivors of the 1990s Bosnian war, now in diaspora, advise two fictional characters trying to escape the same war zone in the animated feature documentary "Pouring Water as I Leave".

3. Short Films : " The Little White Queen " by Mathieu Georis and Théo Hanosset.

One summer evening, the streetlights of Ottignies illuminate the cars floating in the air. In the morning, a crop circle appeared in the central parking lot, which used to be the village square. Now they are playing a pelota match here, causing mayhem in the town.

4. TV series and specials : " Greetings from the Apocalypse " by Maryka Laudet and  Quentin Camus.

In the apocalyptic wasteland of the future, a freedom fighter on the run must team up with a maverick bounty hunter to escape the vicious bandits on their tail.

See you soon on Moonday!
