Since 2003, Berlinale Talents has grown to become a festival within the larger festival. This annual summit and development programme of the Berlin International Film Festival explores the how and why of movie making and offers featuring talks, workshops, networking events and screenings for film professionals. Just as the European Film Market (EFM)* that hosts it, Berlinale Talents programme will take place virtually in Berlin from the 1st to the 5th of March.

Without a physical edition but with a label for the selected films, the Cannes Film Festival wants to give them opportunities. That’s how many artists can bring attention to their work. Generally speaking, for most festivals, it is only now that they are cancelled that the organizers understand the contribution of their physical edition.
