With the Cannes Marché du Film behind us, we took a stock with a few sellers and distributors on how they were handling the online markets situation.

A selection, whether it’s Cannes, Venice, Locarno or Toronto, is meaningful to many filmmakers. Without a physical edition but with a label for the selected films, the Cannes Film Festival wants to give them opportunities. That’s how many artists can bring attention to their work. Generally speaking, for most festivals, it is only now that they are cancelled that the organizers understand the contribution of their physical edition.
